My wolves keep getting hurt? :/

Okay so...I have a bunch of wolves. I also have cats. They get hurt a lot, and I don't know why. After a while of me logging in and out and going in and out of my place, they just get really injured and I have to throw splash potions over all of them to keep them alive. I think it's because when the chunks are still loading, they fall into the ground (much like you do) and get stuck in the ground when it actually loads. So they suffocate for a second or two until they're replaced up at the surface. If you get what I'm saying, I think something like that is happening.

Anybody know how to fix this? Should I put them on a raised platform? Is there a way to? I'm not sure if this is happening to the cats as well, but it very well could. I know the animals are pretty much useless to a lot of people, but I like having them around. And I paid good money for them, I don't want them to die on me. :I

i don't think there is a way to stop unloaded chunks unless the owner installs it with optifine onto the server

All my wolves/cats are no longer existant xD

Yeah...Like once, I had about twenty wolves and they were all gone. I thought someone had killed them all for whatever reason, but I think they died from the above cause.

Every Wolf i get i just kill by accident that why i has none left xD

Maybe try putting water underneath the grass

Lance, maybe the problem is you have like 17 cats so when they are all following you around, some of them glitch out and get stuck in a region and people kill them. Just stop buying so much animals guys, or taming them, you know they are eventually gonna die.
